Making this piece was a very experimental process for me since I tried a lot of new things. It has quite a variety of colors that ranged from both warm and cool, pale and bold, some of which I’ve always found odd to combine. Willing to try something new, instead of blending the colors together, I patted the brush continuously and used these small strokes to determine the value (darkness and lightness) of the images in the painting. Although I found it to be quite time and paint consuming, it was still an enjoyable process and I got to pick up new things from it.
